Why Bihar should not vote for Congress

As the election draws near, politicians get more candid and their indulgence in personal fights becoming graver. There are offerings, someone promising rice @ 2 Rs/kg, someone equality by removing computers and English and preserving poverty, someone will fight against terrorist how still remains a question, someone taking cover of pretty faces, promising to decrease the ugliness quotient of Indian Parliament. The festivity of largest democracy, nearing elections in its full color. For the people It’s the time to recall and undo the deeds, relished upon them by some of incompetent governments they had in the past. I would avoid taking any names as I progress but intended people can be recognized and vividly imagined. At the centre of the story is INC India’s oldest political party. This party may have rightly served India but from my observation they are the ones responsible for destruction/demolition of Bihar. Couple of decades ago they gave a leader to the state which was self...

Why can’t a woman become a philosopher

One day, I found myself arbitrarily contemplating the enigma of the female mind—a thought that has intrigued me time and again. The answer, however, remains elusive, buried in an abyss beyond reach. Cracking the IIT or IIM entrance exams seems far easier in comparison. Just when I think I've discerned a pattern, the very next interaction defies it. Understanding when a woman is being truthful or merely reshaping reality to gain an advantage in the next moment is an art that no science has yet mastered. And the most formidable weapon? Tears. Even the gods falter in their presence. Rationality collapses, and one is left adoring whatever she desires. Many battles—both historical and personal—have been waged over this very predicament. But if the female mind is so intricate and sharp, why are there so few renowned female philosophers? This question led me to investigate, and to my pleasant surprise, I found a long list of female philosophers. Yet, they remain relatively unheard of in e...

Emerging catastrophes due to rising global temperatures

--> Heatwaves have struck North India; the temperatures have risen without any respite in the near future. Coupled with contamination of the atmosphere with construction debris and vehicle emissions, Indian cities have been rendered as a pathetic place to live. We will need to start preparing for the series of catastrophes that will befall us on our way to adapt to life at warmer temperatures. We are bringing online at least 1000 new coal fire burning plants, one per week in China alone. India is catapulting itself to catch up, with its frugal savings and foreign investments. These foreign investments want Indians to consume assuming that resources are infinite and there are no entropy disturbances in the process. We will add 2 billion additional automobiles onto the world’s highways and fossil fuel engines will still power 70% of them. We have now changed our atmosphere that has been stable for the last 650,000 years by digging up ancient sunlight stored in plants t...

Changing Social Cognition of Bihar

I know a lot is being said about the changing dynamics of the state. My surprise findings in the last one month stay in Bihar is the change in people’s behavior. Earlier people use to be arrogant, impatient, short tempered and totally uncivil in nature. The relentless corruption, poor administration, rising population and diminishing job prospects, social division, large dependence on fraud and cheating to sustain livelihood, depleted education system resembling the pre-independence era, shaggy infrastructure, non-existent judicial system and dead industries were causing frustration among the people. The ominous result of these accrued frustrations was quite visible in their behavior. Let’s not forget that the above mentioned factors were result of poor-governance (a governing body which itself had common Bihar touch, so what was needed was a government which can insulate its ministers and aides from these social norms which obviously would require sacrificing the comfort of power a...
